Raised in an urban environment, the origin of my art was controversial. Since these early beginnings, my evolution as an artist has been based on process, understanding, and passion for art. In my recent work a more intimate and fresh relationship between the artist and the medium is established with the removal of a static intermediary. Therefore, I have abolished referencing photographs in my painting process. My works are lively, experimental, and exiting. My focus on the palette, paint application, line, and illumination gives the paintings character and a sense of eternity.
