My artistic practice involves creating sculptural objects that are in some way interesting or intriguing to the viewer, in which category I also place myself. I attempt to use ambiguity to create objects that are at once both abstractions of reality and self-contained “things” that exist only for and as themselves. The materiality of the objects ground them in the physical realm, while the vaguely abstracted forms strive to complicate this tactile relationship to the artwork.
