etching on styrene plate / 11.5" x 6.5"
My name is Ami Sangha, and I am a fourth-year General Fine Arts student at Emily Carr. In my practice I use printmaking by etching onto plastic plates and carve into wood and linoleum to create relief images. In the last few years of my art practice, I have been focusing mainly on bookmaking and writing as a method of art making. I am interested in ideas surrounding secrets, memories, personal narrative, and the past. In this book I recount my childhood memories from Edmonton that have now become broken fragments of reality and the imagined.
