This past year I’ve shifted from painting to more traditional craft processes such as weaving. For PlastiCity I wove strips of plastic shopping bags and then stretched and stapled them to a support identical to that of a painter’s canvas. There seemed to be a close connection to the plastic I was weaving and the nature of acrylic paint.
