I am constantly observing changing spaces within my community—what remains, what goes, what evolves. It is easy to note overall difference, but so often the details get missed. These ever-shifting spaces are the products of our labour, and so each change is a human accomplishment. They are also sites of nostalgia linked to our sense of history and memory, as we see them most everyday. Photographs of these sites in transition simultaneously acknowledge what used to exist and the human force that drives change.
