triptych of C-prints, each 20" x 24"
Through use of photography, my work combines aesthetic elements that are interchangeable between categories, exploring themes and myths of youth culture, sexuality, life, and death. I use the camera as an eye for both documenting the reality of the world that surrounds me, with myself often at the centre, and as a tool for creating an experience that can be viewed universally. For me there is no greater art than that of the everyday experience, one that serves to be universally translatable.
