Pebble is a concept prototype that reintroduces the sense of touch to the world of asynchronized communication. Designed for couples in long-distance relationships, it creates a new experience for voice message sending and receiving. To leave or listen to a message, you gently squeeze the Pebble and place it on the dock. The docking station, which houses a Wi-Fi board and a Bluetooth module, then senses the new input and alerts you to new incoming messages. The LED lights in the Pebble glow or flash in a variety of patterns based on the tone of the voice.
