This project was based on the aspect of preserving patterns of language and culture through calligraphy and ceramics. Fahem is a modular tile system; the pattern of each tile is derived from the Arabic word fahem, which means to understand. The suspended tile system can be configured in multiple ways to alter or divide space. Collaborative project with Raneen Nosh.
