B.C. Provincial Park’s picnic tables, unchanged for over five decades, are enjoyed every year by 60 per cent of B.C. residents. There is an opportunity to improve on the traditional picnic table with an innovative, highly functional yet cost efficient design. This upgraded picnic table design will offer greater comfort and pleasure to park visitors. The redesigned picnic table is extremely durable and long lasting, with the ends of the wood protected from vandalism and chipping. It also offers efficient space to easily and securely store personal belongings, leaving more space on the table and the seat.
