枭神 (God of Howlet)
charcoal and ink drawing, lantern slide projection / 10000" x 7000"
This is one illustration in my little story《哑眉儿》. [ 哑眉儿 is the name of the protagonist; 哑 means mute; 眉 means eyebrow (so has a sub-feeling of frown); 儿 is the hypocorism for girl in ancient China—a dumb and melancholy girl.] 哑眉 always feels many spirits live inside her body shell: a transparent little child, a black mirage-like evil man, an enchanting red demon … “枭神” is one of them, which represents an ambitious and conspiratorial mind.
