My work deals with labour, identity, gender, and the formative nature of youth. I draw from experiences local to myself and hope to prod the ways that meaning is held through memory. I was an adept seamstress by quite a young age, and thus my use of sewing calls back to a productive childhood. I am interested in repetitive tasks and the ways in which dysfunction manifests itself in labour. Often I use garments propelled by their promise of identity.
