I enjoy exploring and experimenting with a variety of materials. I focus on how the materials interact with each other, both physically and within a contemporary social dialogue. In the multimedia I work in, the element of layering has become an obsession I have fixated on. In my digital prints I scan in appropriated images from art history, layering them in Photoshop and altering the opacity. This process is time consuming but very rewarding—being able to react to the different stages of layering that takes place and pinching art from famous artists to create my own outcome.
