Scenes from the Eco-Mix
mixed media / 26" x 46"
Our environment is an organic agglomeration of materials structured as a system of channels or tubes through which matter, information, and ideas disperse and change. Like a compost heap, our city has more than one sweet spot with the right combination of nutrients necessary for the growth of “culture” underneath and between superstructures. They are nebulous, dynamic, and fertile. They can be milked but must not be mined. I try to carve my own path through the eco-mix to feed on and contribute to the cultural wet spots, to eat and shit productivity like a worm or a yeast cell.
