This project explores the power dynamic between a mother and a daughter in a Korean immigrant family whose members vote to speak only English at home. The daughter takes advantage of her fluency in English and her mother’s democratic tendency to overpower her authority. It is through this struggle that we glean a microscopic view of demographic processes in our society.
