This film is an exploration of the tension that results from a paradigm shift in cinema away from the medium of film toward digital video. By digitally presenting film that I have altered physically, I hope to visually delineate the two media by drawing attention to the unique characteristics of film. In doing so, I want to enable the viewer to explore “film” as an idea beyond the medium and recognize the aesthetic choice of film in an age when digital media is becoming ever more capable.
